About MojaAir

Born From a Simple Belief, That Africans Should Be Able to Fly Across Their Own Continent as Easily, and as Affordably, as Anywhere Else in the World. A Belief Rooted in Ubuntu: We Are One — I Am Because We Are.

To the Passengers We Have Not Yet Met

We Started MojaAir Because We Were Tired of Paying 5x More to Fly Just One Hour Within Our Own Continent. Tired of Routing Through Two or Three Cities and Sometimes Even Through Europe, Just to Reach a Neighbouring Country. Tired of a System That Was Not Built for Us, but Designed to Look Outward. We Do Not Blame That System, but It Is Time We Focus Within.

It Is Time to Connect Africa’s Small Businesses to Its 1.4 Billion and Growing Market. It Is Time to Make It Easier for Tourists to Experience the Beauty of Neighbouring Countries Without the Cost of Travel Being a Barrier. And It Is Time for Our Continent to Embrace Its Beauty, Culture, Trade, and Everything It Has to Offer More Quickly, Efficiently, Affordably, and, Most Importantly, Reliably.

So, We Built Our Own, for Our Own. We Built MojaAir!

Built Entirely for You, the African Traveller Who Deserves Faster, Cheaper, Reliable, and More Joyful Air Travel Right Here at Home. Travel Paid for in the Currency You Know, Using Payment Methods That Work for You.

We Are Preparing for Launch. Our Phase 1 Network Is Mapped, Our Fares Are Set, and Our Operating Team Is Being Assembled.

A Continent Too Large to Leave Disconnected

Africa Is the World's Second-Largest Continent, Home to 1.4 Billion People Across 54 Nations. Yet for Decades, Flying Between African Cities Has Meant Routing Through European Hubs, Paying Hundreds of Dollars for Short Regional Trips or Enduring Journeys That Take the Better Part of a Day. Today Only 19% of African City Pairs Enjoy a Direct Flight, and Intra-African Fares of Roughly US$320 to US$550 a Sector Sit Far Above the US$40 to US$80 Europeans Pay for Comparable Distances.

MojaAir Was Founded to Close This Gap. To Build an Airline That Serves Africans First, Connecting Capitals, Commercial Centres and Emerging Cities With Fares That Honestly Reflect the Distances Involved. The Africa Finance Corporation Now Identifies Affordable Air Connectivity as the Single Fastest, Most Scalable Lever for African Integration, Exactly the Role MojaAir Is Designed to Play.

"Moja" Means "One" In Swahili, a Word That Carries Unity, Simplicity and Purpose. One Africa. One Sky. One Airline for All of Us.

"Africa Does Not Need the World to Give It Wings.
MojaAir Is Simply Here to Help the Continent Take Flight."

Why MojaAir Exists

Africa Is the World's Second-Largest Continent, Home to 1.4 Billion People Across 54 Nations. Yet Flying Between Two African Cities Is Often Harder Than Flying Out of Africa Altogether. Only 19% of African City Pairs Have a Direct Flight. The Rest Route Through Europe or the Gulf, Turning a Short Hop Into a Full Day of Travel.

That Gap Is Not a Permanent Condition. It Is an Opportunity. Intra-African Trade Reached $220.3 Billion in 2024 and Continues to Grow. Continental Frameworks Such as the African Continental Free Trade Area and the Single African Air Transport Market Are Designed to Help Goods and People Move More Freely Between African Markets. What Has Been Missing Is an Airline Built Specifically for Those Journeys.

MojaAir Exists to Fly Them. The Network Is Anchored on Five Regional Hubs at Entebbe, Lagos, Cairo, Kinshasa and Gaborone, With No Single Continental Hub and No Privileged Region. Fares Start From $25 and Are Set by the Distance You Fly, Not by Fare Class or Segment Count. Journeys Go Direct Wherever Possible, With at Most One Connection.

Modern Aviation Makes This Practical. Efficient Aircraft, Digital Booking on the Device Travellers Already Carry, and Payment Through the Mobile-Money Platforms Africans Already Use Remove Cost and Friction That Older Models Simply Accepted.

On Sustainability, MojaAir Will Say Only What It Can Evidence. The Airline Is Being Designed Around Fuel-Efficient Operations and Punctual Flying, and Intends to Publish Its Environmental Performance Once It Is Operating. Claims Will Follow Results, Not Precede Them.

The Long-Term Vision Is Straightforward: An Africa Where Distance Is Measured in Hours Rather Than Obstacles, and Where a Trader, a Student, a Family and a Founder Can Each Reach the Next African City Without Leaving the Continent to Do It.

One Africa, One Sky.
